IN THE LIVING YEARS
Originally released in 1989 by Mike And The
Mechanics, Stevie Face does a fantastic job in relating the lyrics of this
track. Stevie Face is an extremely talented singer and has recently released an
album with the same title as his hit single "Tell It Like It Is". His
voice is effortless and smooth over some well known riddims and I would highly
recommend that people support him and get hold of this album as there are so
many killer tracks on it. Every generation Blames the one before And all of
their frustrations Comes beating on your door I know I am a prisoner To all my
father held so dear I know I am a hostage To all his hopes and fears I just
wish that I could have told him in the living years Say it loud, say it clear
You can listen as well as you hear It's too late when we die To admit we don't
see eye to eye I wasn't there that morning When my father passed away I didn't
get to tell him All the things I had to say I thought I caught his spirit Later
that same year I thought I heard his echo In my babys new born tears I wish
that I could have told him in the living years Say it loud, say it clear You
can listen as well as you hear It's too late when we die To admit we don't see
eye to eye It's too late It's too late when we die Tell the special one that
you care No matter what we're going through I'm sure we can work it out Let's
give love a try Starting here today Let's start here and now Show the special
one that you care.
